Shell-cast aluminium parts for railways - transport
We have acquired particular experience in the railway and transport sector that enables us to meet its specific requirements: mechanical parts such as pantograph supports, but also parts that must present a meticulous, sometimes anodised surface appearance, such as sliding frame handles, waste bins and even motorbike accessories (see photo).
Our organisation according to the IS0 9000 standard, our working procedures, our involvement, with the desire to find constructive solutions, convinced the auditors of a large manufacturer for a global market.
But also, the traceability per batch, helped by our computerised processes (ERP/CRM software).
A few aluminium parts produced for railways - transport
Waste bin, Belgian Railways (SNCB) AlMg3Ti alloy, assembly of three parts, polished, anodised and assembled in our workshops.
Result: Able to make a part so thin with an alloy that is very difficult to cast, with a decorative anodised sandy appearance and correct operation of the assembly.
"AGC" handle intended for the French Railways (SNCF), in AlSi12.
Result: Filling of a part whose thickness (2 mm) is at the limit of gravity casting, despite the complex shape of the part, with four stainless steel threaded overmoulded inserts.
Sliding window handle, Belgian Railways (SNCB). AlMg3Ti alloy. Four small polished parts, anodised in champagne or black. We also supply a powdered variant for the SNCF.
Result: Small precise parts to guarantee the good operation of the assembly, nonetheless cast in an alloy that is very difficult to cast.
Part for a motorbike luggage rack. High customer requirements. In particular for the surface finish. Part with a complex shape.
Key success points: the quality of the cast part and the polishing. Individual inspection of straightness before packaging. Traceability of batches by batch number and inspection report supplied.
