Aluminum parts
Mass production of cast aluminium parts
Aluminium, a light, strong and anti-corrosion alloy, contributes to a sustainable economy and society. Its qualities explain its frequent use in functional parts and decorative parts:
- Good mechanical properties compared to its weight (no brittle fracture, strength maintained at very low temperatures, …)
- Lightness (reduction of weight, inertia, …)
- Considerable possibilities for forming and surface appearance (savings in design and production).
- Natural resistance to corrosion
- High thermal and electrical conductivity
- Substantial reflective power
- Easily recyclable
- Etc...
It was just after the war that our grandfather collected aluminium from shot-down planes in order to melt them down and start production of knife handles.
Just like a marathon runner cannot be a 100 m specialist as well, DRADIN concentrates on aluminium alloys to the exclusion of other non-ferrous alloys.
This choice means that we do not dilute our expertise, enables us to focus our organisation, and reduces the risks of contamination between materials.
Most often we cast standard alloys (EN 1706) such as: AS7G (AlSi7Mg or EN 42000, AlSi7Mg0.6 or EN 42200), AS10G (AlSi10Mg or EN 43100), AS12 (AlSi12 or EN 44100), AS9U3 (AlSi8Cu3 or EN 46200 or DIN226).
But also AG3T (AlMg3 or EN 51000). This is a rare specialism in aluminium casting because of it is difficult to cast.
However, this family of aluminium-magnesium alloys (AlMg) is the only one that enables a decorative anodised part to be produced.
And it is the best choice for a polished part or for maximum resistance to corrosion.
From design to the finished aluminium part
Our mission:
- To design the best production of the parts entrusted to us and to produce them in the best conditions.
- To continually improve our knowledge and expertise. The company director, Serge DRADIN
In this respect, our desire is to assist our customers right from the design phase by bringing on our experience with the specifics of production by casting.
Together we optimise the design (thicknesses, radii, drafts, etc) for the soundest production and the best result/cost ratio
We believe that this is the meaning of the word partnership. We work as if for ourselves. This approach has already enabled us to avoid disappointments and to bring poorly conceived projects to a successful conclusion.
DRADIN performs effective finishing operations in order to deliver your finished part: drilling, tapping, deburring, polishing, anodisation, assembly and conditioning (see finishing/surface treatment).
We want to be an expert in our fields. We work in this sense, with a coherent corporate culture, without us losing the desire to help with everything.
For any other necessary operations, we finish your part in collaboration with a specialist in his own field of expertise, selected from our network of preferred partners.
A complete set: NOVIFOR cabin lock comprising four parts that are cast, tapped, anodised, marked by press with the customer's logo and assembled in our workshops
It does not end with the delivery! Our organisation adheres to the ISO9000-2008 standard, as we are particularly attentive to customer satisfaction and our own improvement (see our mission). It has been designed to improve production, processes, etc, systematically but smoothly. In particular, internal opinions and comments, as well as customer comments, are put to good use.
